1840 Irish Type II Pattern Constabulary Bayonet with the more common Lovel Catch.

The bayonet is marked to J Roe and is in an overall good condition. The blade is polished but shows some dark speckalled areas.  The socket hasn't been polished but shows the unit numbering E 68.

It comes with its original scabbard which is also in good condition apart from below the frog stud which has lossed some of its leather due to scuffing. This is unfortunate as this is precisely the board of Ordnance or War Department mark would be.
