Fine condition late,  Franco- Prussian War 1866 Chassepot Bayonet with its rare leather belt frog (more images shown elsewhere under belt frogs).
Bayonet engraved on the spine shows that it was manufactured in Febuary 1871 at the Chattelrault Arsenal.
Scabbard and the bayonet have matching numbers (S 95285)
A good percentage of blueing remaining on the scabbard.
Its original belt frog is in very good shape apart from breaking of the stitching on one of  the belt loops (careless handling on my part)
